In this family/kids workshop we will learn and practice harvesting, prepare the harvest for a food pantry, and create a box of vegetables for you to take home with vegetables, berries, and flowers. We will discuss different types of vegetables, fruits, and flowers, and create munchies in the field we pick, wash, and prepare. Canning Day

Canning Day – we will select, pick, and can pickles, peppers, vegetables, and a few garden surprises. If you haven’t canned in years or have never canned, there are no experience requirements. For newbies, you’ll learn the process, for experienced canners, you’ll like the surprises. We will ask you to bring or purchase a few jars and lids to take home with your canned goods. This in-person workshop for ages 14-great grandparents is hands-on with a limit of 10 attending.
